Hip Hop. Not a fan of the bands (the Bravery, the Killers, etc) that are out today that decided to re-event the 80's new wave movement and think that they are punk rock by wearing eyeliner cause it's acceptable now. Sorry if someone is a fan of these, it's just not for me. [img]redface.gif[/img]
I don't have any specific musical genre of choice that i will only listen to. If i hear a song whatever the genre and i like it, then i'll listen to more by the artist. I don't not listen to something because it's emo or bluegrass, only if i don't like it.
People who concentrate souly on one band or genre seem to think that their musical taste is superior to anyone elses and that they know everything there is to know about music.
Bands I like: Social Distortion (of course), Blondie, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Clash, The Ramones, The Sex Pistols, Led Zeppelin, Roxy Music, OutKast and a lot more I can't think of right now
Dislikes: Like everyone, all of the horrible bands out right now that claim to be punk rock like Good Charlotte and Simple Plan. Also G-Unit, The Black Eyed Peas, basically 99% of Hip Hop out right now.

I love so many types of music. Love it or hate it, it has it's place and it's message...well, except for the Backstreet Boys. Anyway, I like music from Nina Simone to Nine Inch Nails.

Anything by The Beach Boys, any sort of "boy band", all the manufactured bullshit on the radio you hear every 5 minutes, Yanni, Michael Bolton....I will seriously break out in hives at the sound of his voice, Cher, Puff Daddy or P Diddy or Diddy or whatever the hell he wants to call himself this week, anything by an actress who thinks she can have a singing career too, Garth Brooks, Lisa Stansfield, Modest Mouse, Jason Miraz (sp?)Three Doors Down, and many others. But the song I will die from hearing the whole way through: "Ain't Nothing Gonna Break My Stride". I fucking HATE that song.

Babyblue, you've got it lucky... I can't physically stand Led Zepplin. Thier music makes me carsick even when I'm not in a car... I think it's my parents must have listened to them the entire time on a road trip when I was a kid and it messed me up.
I'm gonna say rocket 88 and tiger army is starting to make progress.And the offspring has to be the worst band in the history of breathing.nuff said.
